Hi All,
I'm new here, so hello!
I was just wondering what brand of walking socks people recommend - they all have different reasons for being great (according to the marketing) but I was just wondering what real walkers recommend.

Don't do so much walking these days but I always stuck to woollen socks as some socks with a 'man made fibre' content used to give me a rash around the top of the boot, especially in hot weather.

I prefer Merino socks.
The Merino Explorer can be purchased at Go Outdoors stores.
Their socks contain 72% wool and 27% polyester.
The higher % of Merino wool the better the quality. Warm with great wicking/breathability.

Just spotted this - not my usual bit of O&A, hope you don't mind me joining in.
I'm with Jonathan & Pete - there's nothing lilke Bridgedale at a sensible price.
