Do you winter camp? Are you as happy under the canvas in a snowstorm as you are sat outside your tent in the summer with the barbecue lit? Any winter camping experiences you can share with us?

Call me a chicken but Easter's plenty soon enough in the year for me, even with electric hook up! Each to their own though, if you want to then why not.

To be quite honest I like winter camping, i dont think you can beat being tucked up in bed all toasty warm reading a good book, admittedly I am in a motorhome rather than a tent.

Large scotch in the centrally heated Motor home ........Yes

Under canvas.........................................................Why?

But I guess soon some well meaning Vicar will quickly offer you a place in the local hostel.

We had a VW California for 2.5 years and loved going away in the autumn/winter and still do... we have recently swapped to an Autocruise Accent but will continue to winter camp as often as we can. Have van will travel and all that. Some areas of England can be stunningly beautiful in the winter months so why not. It's just a shame our dog has had a knee operation and it will be six months before he's ready for the hill walks again

Perhaps you should put a shirt on , (in you pic) Mike

I don't do cold either,
this is an old post. I do wonder if new posters look at the date??

Same thing happens on another site that I use. (Not Motor home though)

the original post, in this TENT forum, stated

'Are you as happy under the canvas in a snowstorm as you are sat outside your tent in the summer'

so why are motorhomers saying yes, I love winter camping?? I don't know of any canvas motorhomes
