Thank you for all your replies. It looks like I will have to stay in Messanges. There was 2 aires. 1 on each side of the lake last time I went in 2020. None are listed on any of the aires guides now. Will have to re-explore the region to see what exactly has happened in the area. I suspect that due to all the people living on the sites all year round and even having a caravan as well. The aire was looking a bit like a homeless permanent park up. Clive
