    Maybe ,

But we are talking about Motorhomes and if It's your new Motorhome it pays to take care of it

There is a different school of thought, based upon years of seeing the same problems cropping up on forums with motorhome base vehicles.........Is that because they are so little used, that it causes many of the problems that rarely appear in a normally well thrashed comercial vehicle.

True, despite the replies above 'running in' is pretty much a thing of the past, in fact if you where to 'run in' a modern engine like the old jalopies it wouldn't do the engine much good at all.

I cant imagine many commercial vehicle engines are ever run in?

But at least my old jalopie will never suffer from a blocked DPF, or stolen Catalytic converter etc etc.......or worst of all...... the computer saying NO🤣

  3. I thought running a "engine in" was something we did in the olden days..........Progress eh?😏

Personally with my camper I know if it's not leaking oil.......it means it's empty🤣.......

Better still it can be fixed with a hammer not a computer😎

I have had a campervan on order from this company since July but despite numerous attempts, I've been unable to contact them to ascertain the current position. Ringing them goes to voicemail & emailing produces an automated response. Would like the situation clarified ASAP, due to the large amount of money already paid to them. Thanks.

    July 2022?

Its unclear wether it was a member on here or not Barryd999 . I believe the incident happened while you were away in Scotland motor homing so you may not have read about in The Shetland Times . its a disgrace though isnt it and gives us all a blooming bad name, they threw a load of old chip papers out n'all apparently and two seals choked to death on them, mind they were old Guardian newspapers . I cant believe motorhomers would endanger such beautiful creatures on purpose . Big respect to you and yours Barryd999

That's understandable, as I'd choke on the "S" they call news as well🤣

Yes I have. A big white one called a Kontiki.

I was hoping to take it to Brazil but Im not sure what happened to the thread about that.

Here is a picture of my motorhome taken recently.  I hope pictures of motorhomes are allowed. If not, I can delete it if someone lets me know.

I did call mine Nigel, as I used it to get me too where I wanted to go.

I now call him Boris, as he's got me to my destination🤣

Sure though I bet Belinda isn't your real name.

I'm a little confused, in a recent message Keith mentions a "he..."

I'd of thought some one from EU La La Land would have moved with the times, the world is longer black & white, but 50 shades of Grey/Beige🤣

Im not convinced about so called German Engineering on their cars. Certainly not the later VWs.  My diesel Golf from the last century was superb. I owned it for yonks and it was the last of the 1.9TD's I think which were indestructible.  However everything else started to let it down. Electrics, Windows that were possessed and would go up and down at will. Dash lights packed up and nobody could fix them. stuff like that.

I was going to replace it with a more modern one but was warned off as the later ones apparently are rubbish or so I was told by several mechanics. Mind you they say that about most brands.

Oh dear Barry999 you've just committed a hanging offence in Chatterbox🤣

    Thats not true

I emptied it over Dave Pelmet / Barry Lineker 😁

But it was OK - he didn't notice 😁

Considering the "S" you come out with on a daily basis, it's hardly surprising🤣

Why not buy your wine in boxes, particularly when abroad, saves the weight the glass bottles as well.?

                      Brian B.

That's what we do, and we also buy some more expensive bottles for our posh friends, and top up those bottles with the cheap plonk (0nce drunk), the secret is to keep the cork and dunk it in the cheap wine before you rest it on top of the bottle. As posh people like to sniff the cork.
