  1. Having very recently been through this process my I advise would be just stick it on Auto trader

there are lots of good people out there who want to buy a fairly priced van directly from the owner just like we all used to do

you will get roughly 30% more selling privately and if priced correctly it should sell quickly

Priced mine fairly it sold in a few days to a very nice couple who was so happy to be the new owners

i am looking for my next van now and so wish more people would sell privately

    Hi Dawki

Why go away from your Mercedes base I get the feeling you may be wishing someone to ask ?
    Regards

    Hi "Dawki"

It 's a serious issue to consider on purchasing one with a wet belt as you say the the amount of money that has to be spent on the service of same and maybe the loss also of re-sale value going forward,

    Regards

Yes it really does need consideration especially when coming from a chain driven van

can anybody confirm that Fords have officially reduced belt change times from 10 down to 6 years?

  4. Hi sold my motorhome for the last 15 years😭Mercedes base vehicle

have  basically decided that next one which I’m urgently seeking would be Automatic and 90%sure it would be a transit base

having known about the injectors issue some suffered with I was happy to take chance on that but is the wet cambelt issue a game changer regards opting for the Ford Transit

  5. Having fairly recently moved to 850m from the sea and just about to change vans would it be wise to opt for one base vehicle manufacturer over another due to seaside location?
    any thoughts/experience  much appreciated

  6. Hi again everyone has anyone had had any experience good or bad with Benimar motorhomes I’m looking at the Torosso which seem a decent van but would be interested what you think

  7. Many thanks Derek&grumps  mpg sounds very reasonable

very interesting reading the discussion on the link I’ll be going from RWD sprinter to FWD transit with two electric bikes In the garage or on rack so I might for the first time have to be careful about driving on wet grass etc etc

    are you liking your F68?

  8. Hi all I hope your all well

I am seriously looking at changing my current Auto-trail on a Mercedes base motorhome for a newer motorhome

I see there are quite a lot now built on the new transit and I was wondering if any of you have one and could share your likes/dislikes

do you have manual or Auto /horse power /MPG etc?
    very many thanks in advance
