Uriah Heep
Hi everyone, new member so please be gentle. I am in the market possibly for a new motorhome and would like some suggestions from anyone as my needs are slightly exclusive. My wife is partially abled and has a mobility scooter so our basic must haves are: Two berth (or three) with a rear lounger, low profile van with a suitable locker (30x24x16 inches) LxWxH minimum for the scooter. I have lookede at the Bolero range but lockers might be an issue, i have also looked at Autocruise Starspirit, Starburst and Stadream but only on the web. I think I would prefer a FIAT 160 multijet but with automatic whatever the make. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated, price is not a serious issue but like anyone I have a limited budget, the important thing is good space and reliability as we use the van all year and travel abroad as well. I currently have a Bessie E795 but so many silly little problems have led me to reconsider.

ROON
Not well up on vans, Steven. But just to say welcome and hope you find a van to meet all your needs so that you and your wife can be up and about asap. Joy
Tony Jones
Hi Stephen, welcome. I don't know if this helps, but ... The people we got our van from, Roy Wood Transits, also do a lot of made-to-order vans for people with various kinds of disabilities. They're Govt approved Mobility Specialists. I don't know if they use Fiats, but they do LWB Mercedes so they're not purely Ford people. However, as far as I know, all their vehicles are "van conversions" rather than coachbuilts. But it may be worth having a word with them to see if they can help you. http://www.roywoodtransits.co.uk/motorhomes/index.html And whatever you end up with, I hope you'll both have some great times in it! maryowlgirl
Hello, just to say welcome and perhaps you could have a word with Todd Motorhomes at preston, we have always found them very helpful in the past. Good luck.
