Mel B
Hubby's just been out to check what it is, it's a Lister Gas Pro BBQ, it's similar to the below, but not exactly the same: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Camping-Gas-Stove-Portable-Barbecue-Bbq-Royal-Deluxe_W0QQitemZ330244686384QQihZ014QQcategoryZ16036QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
averhamdave
We've had a Cadac for a couple of years and have more or less stopped using it. It had great original novelty value, was quick and easy to use and relatively easy to clean. Judgemental has summed up the issues quite well I think. All they are really is an outdoor frying pan or hot plate. There is no way it can be compared to a barbeque! Completely different concept. I also agree that they don't get hot enough. They have a regulator knob which you will always have full on and if it's a cold and/or windy day you'll struggle. You cannot, for example get them sizzling hot then throw your steak on - its more like a slow cooker effect particularly if the hot plate is completely covered, ie cooking for say 4 people. My mates got a Beauclaire and its much better/hotter but I've gone back to conventional charcoal!
moby
Bought one this year. It is excellent! Suggest you get (at least) the bbq rack, the lid & the reversible hotplate. Several offers available on the net. Easy to use & easy to clean - maybe just a bit heavy but they are solidly made.
