watsoa
I am going to buy a trailer and Smart car for pulling behind our motorhome and I need advice on insurance.Do the trailer/car need separate insurance or is it possible to get the motorhome/trailer/car insured as a 'job' lot. The motorhome and car will never be driven at the same time.ThanksAlan W
Guest JudgeMental
while you are waiting for more informed advice... I believe the car needs to be insured separately, have never heard of a dual policy covering both. It may be more straight forward to use the one insurance company in case of a mishap. you need to inform both insurance companies as to what you are doing as your excess will probably be affected. also I think the car being towed is only covered 3rd party. I would call your motorhome insurers and ask their opinion.
Wingpete
I got 3 cars, one m/bike & 2 trailers, (one for towing behind bike, other for trailering solo bike, plus m/home on a fleet policy from TRADEX.

I would guess as the name suggests yours is a trade policy? Probably cheaper for Alan just to insure motorhome and car separately... Have you sorted this out Alan?
