Does a modification have to carried out or can it go straight into the tank. Will it cause harm to the engine. We have a Autotrail with 2.0JTD engine. The local price seems to be 99p per litre. Ranger Posted June 15, 2008 Share Posted June 15, 2008 Hi KJP, find out from your manufacturers how much the % of diesel/bio mix for your engine and take it from there. Unless you live close to a biodiesel supply it may not be worth the bother. My 'van has to be 50/50 mix so not worth the bother. It seems that in some engines too much bio can gum up the injectors. You could try http/icwales.icnetwork.co.uk and ask them, or stick biodiesel on google and see what comes up. People around here have been putting in some cooking oil from supermarkets but eventually Mr Plod put his foot down, they now have 'sniffer dogs' that smell out cooking oil burning diesels.
