caggsie
Good evening all, I would like to go to the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate in July 8 - 13. Can anyone recommend a site that is relatively close by where I can use public transport/walk? I am not adverse to walking a mile or so. If possible I rather not take the van. Recommendations will be gratefully received. Regards Karen
david lloyd
Hi Karen The Caravan Club have a site just at the entrance to the showground - we have stayed there before asnd are booked in for the Autumn Flower Show weekend. It is a bit late now and the site may be full (or they may get a cancellation) but you can check on the Caravan Club website: http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/ Good luck, David
caggsie
Thanks, already tried that one. Due to the show being held at that site it is closed for the period of the show. regards Karen
timofleeds
Hi try Rudding Park. This is a first class site and is only a 20ish minute walk from the show through some lovely countryside, no parking to pay at the show and no queues getting out. You will pass the Travellers Rest pub which does nice meals and drinks. You can see the Yorkshire Show ground from the site entrance across the valley. www.ruddingpark.co.uk Regards Tim
