Robbie
Hi folks last year the temp gauge on my fiat ducato 2.8 fliked straight up to normal even when engine cold.Brownhills said I needed a new binacle which they fitted at £365.oop and it was ok. Now the same thing is happening again, needle going straight up to normal, anybody else had same problem? Regards Robbie
Terrytraveller
Hi Robbie, Sounds like a bad connection, fitting a new binicale probably disturbed the wiring and reseated the connection - Try Link Sorry to Ducato owners - reading below might give you some sleepless nights. http://tinyurl.com/6p5khj http://tinyurl.com/594jrs http://tinyurl.com/6qy3rt PS Might try disconnecting the battery, wait for 10 mins and then reconnect battery, when the ECU restarts may clear the fault. You may need to take the vehicle out for spin so the ECU can retrain. Regards Terry
Robbie
Thanks for that Terry, will try that cos don't fancy buying another binnacle Regards Robbie
derek500
I had this. Just disconnect the negative from the battery, re-connect and it should sort it!!
A W
I've still got this as well. Disconnecting the battery worked for a while but doesn't now.
