chas
An annoying problem as occured in as much that the swival bowl on the toilet as started to squeal quite badly, does anyone know if any lubricant can be applied, ( the joint between the base seems close together) is there a friction seal that needs replacing, and if so, how, Many Thanks
Harvey
If you have a look on the Thetford website they have service / parts information for their products. Harvey
Ranger
Silicon spray ie 'Back to Black' or similar. When the bowl is dry and clean spray inside the bowl too, lubricates the shutter and stops anything sticking to the bowl too. Easy to keep clean then. Derek Uzzell
I agree with Ranger - spraying a silicone-based product (eg. "Mr Sheen") into the join where the swivel-bowl meets the base and moving the bowl around a few times should stop the noise. I seem to remember that removing bowl-unit from base is not an easy procedure and, if the noise does persist even after the spraying exercise, I'd be tempted to live with it rather than try to disassemble the toilet.
