Minstrel
Sorry everyone, I know it's been discussed but I can't find it. We have easily taken off all the stupid stickers previous owners put on our motorhome coachbuilt section but could someone let me know how to get one off the bonnet of the van. It's a dragon, but not obviously welsh. I'm also thrilled that we found the original Fiat badge and so have been able to take off the Lands End badge they replaced it with. Den
Hi minstrel The easiest way is to use a hairdryer This i've done many times on commercial veh' . THe idea given by the decal company i use. Some people then use petrol, i prefer T cut< its better to do the whole bonnet any way (col' variation).. Peel it back bit by bit slowly. Hope it goes well. den
Randonneur
We tried various things on our Rapido (GRP) then someone suggested Petrol and it got rid of all the sticky residue and you couldn't tell that there had been anything there.

Minstrel
Thank you all for your replies. Will petrol and/or wd40 help clean off the marks left on the coachbuilt bit or are they likely to do damage, please?
grocer jack
WD40 will remove the old adhesive, let it "soak in" a while. DON'T use petrol, not only is it very flammable it doen't do your skin, eyes, etc any good! T Cut the paintwork to get rid of the "shadow" of the decal you will see in certain lights. However I would question the use of T Cut on glass fibre.
