John.N
I have a 1999 AutoSleeper Legend fitted with a Carver 5500 Turbo Fanmaster space heater which is giving problems due to a faulty switch unit. I have been told that this Carver switch unit is now obsolete. Can anybody out there supply me with one or point me in the direction of a good second-hand spares dealer or caravan breaker please? tonyishuk
I would drop Carver a line and see what they say. Usually they have older spares or could suggest a work around with a new switch ? Rgds
John.N
I can't find a website for Carver. I wonder if they are no longer in business. However Knowsley-caravans have provided a long list of breakers which I am currently trawling.
Derek Uzzell
John N: Carver ceased trading about 7 years ago and the company was subsumed by Truma. You could try contacting the technicians at Truma(UK) - the contact details are on www.trumauk.com - as Truma(UK) held a considerable quantity of Carver spares at one stage. (I also understand that some Carver and Truma heater parts are interchangeable.) Another possible source might be O'Leary Motorhomes (www.olearymotorhomes.co.uk) as this company also specialises in Carver products. GOOGLE-ing on "Carver heater spares" retrieves alternative potential suppliers.
breakaleg
I had to have some work done couple of years ago on my then carver heater, auto-sleeper workshop had spare parts in stock and a replacement heater made to the same template as carver. might be worth a call; auto-sleeper service;01386 853 511 always been obliging. pete

mikemoss
Try this firm www.arcsystems.biz/ Never used them, but the website sounds promising.
John.N
Many thanks to all contributors. I have drawn a blank on a replacement so far but ARC in Nottingham have offered to repair the unit at a reasonable price. Seems hopeful .
