yesmad Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I have looked through our Elldis and Fiat handbooks to find what the tyre pressures should be or our 1988 Elldis Autoquest 270, but cannot find the answer. I would be grateful if anyone out there would have the answer. Thanks in advance (TIA)
davenewellhome Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Load your 'van as for a holiday and visit your local weighbridge. Weigh front and rear axles separately then contact your tyre manufacturers with the tyre size and axle weights and they will give you the appropriate tyre pressures. D.
breakaleg Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Done that recently Dave, got 50psi front and 55psi rear, took the van into auto-sleeper for a sevice and they suggested that it was to low and upped them by 10psi all round, said that the lower level people were complaing of vibration, can't say that i noticed, but will give it a couple of runs and see what i think. pete
davenewellhome Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Well personally I would take the tyre manufacturers word on pressures rather than a service centre. however an extra 10 PSI will do no harm, better too much than too little. D.
