davenewellhome Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 To Lake Vyrnwy for a couple of nights in the motorhome. Forecast has been crap for the weekend all week but I've just checked and its turned to sunny intervals so we're off. See you Sunday afternoon.
J9withdogs Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Hope you have a great time, Dave. It never rains in Wales anyway, does it? ;-)
Hymer C 9. Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Dave enjoy, I am sure it will be great and Dexter will love it, I'll raise a glass of malt to you tonight, Carol. :-)

davenewellhome Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 Hi all, we're back :D . Had a great time, weather was spectacular, no mobile phone signal, no TV signal (too many trees for satellite) and poor radio reception. yesterday we walked the full 12 miles round the lake and yes Mick, you are right, it is the one with all the wood carvings dotted around. Last night we stayed in a small clearing at the north west end of the lake and listened to CDs while reading, Clapton, Dire straits, John Lee Hooker, Etta James, Eva Cassidy. It was sublime! :D I'll put some photos on when I've sorted through them, I took nearly 500 shots as today we stopped in at Loton Park hill climb on the way back home. D. P.S. the whole weekend cost us about £55 I reckon, £30 in fuel, £20 to get into Loton park and the rest on ice creams etc ;-)
davenewellhome Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 As promised earlier here are some photos (hopefully :$ ). D.
twooks Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 nice ones Dave - I guess you had a good time n cracking weather :D welcome back B-)
