SAS Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I have replied to two threads about downloading the Opera browser onto a mobile phone. Has anyone else done it, because I have found it quite brilliant. You can access everything on it that you can on your pc and it will load the pages on forums. I can ask questions, answer them on my favourite forum, send, sort out my emails, save bookmarks and pages just the same as on my pc. For general internet browsing on the move it`s brill. You just charge the phone as normal, it`s automatically `wireless` and there`s no more extra equipment to cart around with you. I have a bolt-on on my contract of free internet browsing but would get charged extra for downloads. If you print off documents it`s no good but for general browsing it`s suprisingly good and quick. You do need a memory card and the 4.1 version or above though for it to be able to load the feeds. My phone is a Nokia 6131.
Tony Jones Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Yes, it's what I'm using right now on my Nokia 6300 here in the Medoc. Recommended to me by Barclays originally as built in browser wouldn't support online banking. Of course it's slower than PC, and since I've not got that bolt-on I have to pay, but I don't use it much and who's hurrying?
