Caravan hire

Hi All

 

we've just registered as we are interested in becoming caravanners next year. But we'd like to try before we buy so to speak.

 

We live in Merseyside and would like to have a caravan holiday in Scotland, do any of you know a reputable self tow caravan hire company in either area we can hire a van from?

 

I appreciate that we'll need to geta tow bar etc for the car but rather than spend a good few pounds on a van we'd like a shot at towing and living in a tourer first.

They are around, but are quite rare! I did see one the other day, and i can't remember the name of the company! I will have a think on it, or alternatively, have a google and see what comes up!

 

I know they are few and far between as they are high risk for insurers. We thought about doing caravans as well, but worked out a bit risky!

 

I think it was somewhere cornwall based, not sure! I will rack my brains and get back to you!

That was quick! There is one in portsmouth that google just came up with straight away which was www.1stcaravanhire.co.uk - Not knowing where you are based i can't really find anything near to you!
