Norma Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Does anyone have experience of Kinderdijk? Can you park there overnight?
duffers Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Hello, we visited Kinderdijk a few years ago, would not think you could wild camp - it is still not well regarded in the Netherlands, but there is some information on here: http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=35887 ray
Norma Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Typically I go and post the question - then google it. No camping allowed there. That answers my own question...
Homenaway Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hi, We called in there last month on a Sunday. The main carpark is quite expensive 5€ for cars and Buses (=coaches?) €10. There were several motorhomes parked there. There is also a free car park 300metres away but that has height barriers. We managed to find a parking space on the road in the town but we've only got a small panel van! It definitely states no overnight parking. There is one windmill open to visitors (3.50€) HTH Steve
