ceebee
Hi Can anyone tell me where you can take a dog in France, is it true that you cannot take a dog onto the beach, or parks. If this is true where can you take them, Thanks in advance Christine
Randonneur
Its the same as the UK, if there is no sign to say that dogs are not allowed then its OK. Some of the beaches on the Med don't allow dogs but it is such a big Country so its not a problem. The French take their Dogs and Cats everywhere with them, saw a Cat on a lead a couple of weeks ago on the coast in the Charente Maritime, its owner was a motorhomer as well. Mr. Grumpy
We have been taking our dog to France for the past 4 years with no problems. Some beaches ban dogs altogether & some only ban them for the high summer season but all are well signed. Make sure that your dog's passport and paperwork are all in order and we always book the vet before we leave England but many on this forum leave it until they are on the homeward leg. Interestingly many restaurants allow dogs inside but ask before you take it in.
A W
I think I'm right in saying that it is a condition of blue flag beaches that dogs are not allowed.Other than those beaches there is normally no problem
