Ranger Posted August 16, 2008 Share Posted August 16, 2008 Hi saruman, My grandson is going to buy ( When he can find one ) a split screen VW camper. The first thing he is going to do, is have a safety frame built around the front passenger and drivers seating area, ( like rally cars have ) and have belts fitted. Drivers and passengers safety comes before loop holes in the law don't you think? You may find that without belts, your insurance will not cover injury to persons. A couple of years ago he rolled his car off a narrow country lane, so knows the importance of seat belts. Imagine running into something head on with a VW camper with no belts, everyone would go through the split screen without even slowing up. Look after NUMBER ONE !!!
