Way2Go Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Malc, I didn't see your second answer. If you look at your thread entry it says "somewhere around Limburg" then a few spaces then a questionmark then a few spaces then "Rudesheim".I didn't spot it the first time all I saw was "Limburg". Sorry matey. You are of course the winner entry but I've alreadt posted the Moet so will a corkscrew do?W2G
spospe Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Now I am really curious as to where exactly this photo was taken. As can be clearly seen, there is a pictograph of a car ferry on the arm of the sign pointing to Koblenz and Assmannhausen, yet as far as I am aware, the ferries over the Rhine near Rüdesheim are for foot passengers only; or have I got that bit wrong? Just curious ............ Michael
ROON Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 mALC, are you going to take this lying down or are you going to the adjudicators? I think you should insist on taking the holiday with Way2go... think you make a lovely couple :-D

Just curious ............ Michael Hi Michael,Yes there is a vechicular ferry which takes you from Rhudesheim across to Bingham. Thai gave us the lowdown on the ferries before we went.Attached is a map showing the approximate position of the sign (1) and the ferry (2).Also a picture of our pride and joy crossing on the ferry.W2G
peejay Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I concede, Malc is undoubtedly the winner as he mentioned it first. Trouble is i've already drunk the Moet, cheers W2G *-) pete
Way2Go Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Randonneur - 2008-08-20 10:42 AM Here you are, where is this? Waiting for the Mersey Ferry :-)
Randonneur Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Won't keep you in suspense, it is Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Liverpool sign is to direct you to a shopping mall there. Grandson has just arrived back from working in Mexico and took the picture.

Trouble is i've already drunk the Moet, cheers W2G *-) pete I've consulted my legal team about this and they take the view that Way2Go probably works for a television phone-in company, and that regardless of who came up with the correct answer, Pete would win. I can't believe that any motorhomer would do such a thing and have decided to give W2G the benefit of the doubt. As a gesture of goodwill, I will even let him keep his corkscrew. I am a bit disappointed with Peejay though, who, although he knew that he wasn't the real winner, drank all the champagne before conceding. (Incidentally, I recognised the road sign from when I last camped near there in 1967). ;-)
