Electric Barbeques

Anyone got an elctric bbq? These are the only type permitted in most of the southern France camp sites. They will never replace the real thing but any advice on manufacturers, prices, amps needed?

We use a portable gas model and have had no trouble using it in the south ...maybe things have recently changed.

 

We have no experience of electric ones. But cant imagine them being any good or particulirly efficent. May as well use a george forman grill, have seen a lot of them on sites this year.......

Only bought it from Lakeland around £24 a couple of years ago, loads of differant ones available in France.

Its been a good few years since we last camped at the med coast of France but from reading various site guides it looks like only electric bbq's are permitted. Thanks for replies. I'll wait 'till I get there and then make my mind up; or maybe I should go in the attic and dust down the George Foreman.
