:-D Just returned from a brilliant four week tour of Europe. France/Germany/Luxembourg/Italy/Solvina/Crotatia.

NO WILD caping allowed in Crotatia, Crotaia very expensive on almost everthing, average cost per night in 3 & 4* sites (naturist ,it was to hot to wear anything! on average 35+ each day) was over £24 per night, but still a lovely country.

A couple of free sites we found on our travells and are worth a visit if you are near any of these.

GIVET on the French/Belguim border "Quai Des Heros de la Resistance" opposite the Givet Post Office on side of river bank, local Police said OK for two nights.

PARCEY North France on D905. On side of the Canal lovely little stop over OK with lock keeper.

France Col du Mont Cenis (2083 mts high) France /Italy border. Best site we have found for some time. Really lovely views over large lake and snow covered mountains. When we were ther there about 10 vans, really fresh water from mountain fountain possible to empty toilet in the "flush and run" toilets. Good walking area. really worth at least two night stop over.

It is not an official site but had no hassle from anybody. If you are in that part of France/Italy you should try it.

Can't wait for our nexr big jaunt at Christmas may see some of you at Shepton.

Thanks for these recommendations. I have found the one at Givet but the only Parcey known to both Michelin and Autoroute is in Department 39, South of Dole. Can you give some better directions, please?
