hymer1942
I am thinking about buying a 1kw suitcase Honda generator, can someone please tell me the highest wattage I can run from it direct.
spospe
A 1kw generator can supply 1000 watts maximum, but usually the continuous rating will be rather less; say about 900 watts. I would check with the Honda website for more details about any specific model. http://www.honda.co.uk/power/generators/ or http://hondagenerator.co.uk/
Mel E
Assume you'll get about 3.5 amps continuous power - about the same as a poor French hookup. But I'm afraid I belong to the 'I hate generators' fraternity! Mel E ====
michele
Mel , understandable I hate them also thats why we bought the honda ? big one only small sounds really quiet it whispers along but we have no choice you just never know when you could come unstuck .Its a chance we dont want to take with the girls on board however I try my hardest never ever to impose it on anyone and certainly would think of others and not run it late . Den
WE purchased the 10i and quickly demoted it to my work van. Yes it is quiet, But anytime of day to those non users their not good. But in saying that we charged the batteries, run the fridge (in france 2years ago the gas side stopped working) and a small travel hair drier. Not sure of the power , have checked but no label visible. Economy wise very frugal. Tank lasted several days, not all day of course. Now with the solarpanel (100w) and the efoy 1600 using a 1000w inverter, its like home from home. We have a 650 w microwave which people will say flatten batteries but its only on 3-5 mins , no problem.
