I have just had a set of headlamp covers for the Transit Mk7 delivered.

Cost £20+£8.90 P&P by TNT + Vat£6.63 = £44.53.

I have heard of people making 'mirror' images of these masks and sticking them to the inside of the covers, so as to offer the masks the maximum protection.

I did that with a pair of "commercial" masks, the universal sort which can be LHD or RHD depending which way round you fit them. I got a pair of covers from Formula4x4 before they folded, and stuck the "beam-benders" on the "wrong" way, on the insides, producing a very effective pair of permanent, reusable clip-on converters - just like the ones we used to have when all headlights were the same shape! Less danger of the benders coming off, and much easier to keep clean as the outside is smooth.
