colin
Standard reply Give us a clue, what van have you got. If you amend your 'location' to include make/model of van it may also help when you might not expect it.

Den
A small one from Maplin could suitable it plugs into your cigarette lighter and fits neatly on your dash. Only a trickle charger is the type of thing you had in mind.
chas
The cigarette socket will not allow the trickle charge through to the engine battery unless the ignition is switched on, which is not practical. you need to feed the wires into the engine bay and connect directly with crocadile clips to the terminals. The very small dashboard solar panels will not cope particulary if you have an alarm system on, get a briefcase type 13 watt panel from Maplins. Den
A small rewire could enable power to flow to your battery, or even the 600 efoy. Hey problem solved, both habitation and engine battery.
