freedom
last year I was grateful for all the advice given by readers of the forum, about travelling in France during january. I was told of camping-car aires which were free, others quite cheap and some which were just in the nicest places. We had a lovely trip. Thanks to all who gave us advice. We will be doing the same in January, however, our trip will take us through Germany at the start of February, and I was wondering if I could look to you all once again to give me advice on the german version of camping-car aires, electic hook-up, nice sites and anything else you think I need to know. In particular a route from France to Koln. I shall wait with great anticipation of all your advice rolling in. freedom.
peejay
Hi; The German version of aires are called 'Stellplatz', there is a guide >HERE< that should explain what they are all about. For a route, if you mean from Calais then if it were me then I'd go Calais, Dunkerque, Brugge, Bruxelles, Liege, Aachen, Koln. It's about 4 to 4 1/2 hours drive.
