Mel B
Howie ... good job I have better things to do at the moment that give you abuse my little fluffy pink sadist! Here's another quick snap of her next to Midge the squidge, she's a Patterdale Terrier possibly crossed with something else as she's got a longer body than a standard Patterdale ... or she just might be lanky! Whatever she is, she's full of beans and has been running around the place for the last 2 hours with Romy (cross Staffie/Greyhound) in tow ... somehow I think they'll sleep well tonight. Possible names: Treacle Marmite Smartie Dandilion (she been pinching Chris's Dandilion and Burdock!) Tess Jessie Cassie Kiki Kyra What do you think? jacqui
I think its going to be boss, because I think she is going to rule the house, how is she in the van Mel, or hasn't she been out yet..
Mel B
Still trying to find a suitable name .... currently she's being called "that ****** little rat"! :D She hasn't been in the van yet Jacqui, not until she's settled a bit more with the other 2 dogs, Midge has now stopped circling like a shark doing an Elvis impression (quivvering lip!) and Romy has realised that it's quite good fun to follow the little beastie round and round, the little 'rat' is so quick though that even Romy can't keep up with her round the furniture and she's a greyhound cross! I think you're right that she'll be the boss though. We've been given a dog cage so we can leave her in that for the afternoons now - hubby takes her to work in the morning ... I think the whole of the University has met her now! She did disgrace herself with a little piddle on the carpet in my office though, fortunately my boss thought it was hilarious! Everyone adores her and lots would love to take her home. Tried to do some sewing today and the little *** kept running off with my cotton, bodkin, basically anything she could get hold of ... kept her well away from the needles though! I spent more time chasing her than sewing ... When I had to change the dressing on Midge's leg (he's got a habit of chewing it when he's preening and making it sore) the little *** kept running off with the tape, then the bandage, then the tape again - couldn't put anything down. I drew the line at trying to cut the grass with her around though - very glad of the dog cage! Oh, you do forget what its like to have a young dog around! Wouldn't part with her for nothing though ... you'd think she'd been with us forever. Can't wait to be able to take her to the beach and see what she makes of the sea, Patterdales are supposed to like water so hopefully she'll love it. She hasn't had any vaccinations at all, previous owners didn't have a clue, obviously got her as it seemed like a good idea for their daughter who, as she was no longer the really cute little 'baby' and had turned into a bit of a 'doggie toddler', had lost interest in her. Anyway, she had her first lot of jabs on Tuesday - £44.00 for the course (2 lots) so back again in 2 weeks for the remaining one, fortunately our vets do a 'vaccinations for life' scheme, you pay an extra £70 when you do the first lot of jabs and that's it, you don't have to pay anymore for them for the life of the dog. Then there's the spaying (£93), micro-chipping (£15), pet passport ... you don't want to know!!!! But she's worth it.
jacqui
All sounds like a laugh a minute in your house, can just imagine what life is going to be like when your all in the van for the first trip, it might be safer for you to get in the dog cage and just let them get on with it .....lol (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol)
Hymer C 9.
Mel she sounds as if she is keeping you on your toes, no wonder you have not had time to think of a name yet, by the way have you still got the rats. she sounds like a handful of fun. howie
Hey Mel, why don't you call that pup "Flash" like what I called my dog. x
Mel B
Howie .... I did hear that dogs look like their owners but getting it to copy what you do, that's taking it a bit far don't ya think! :$ Yes Carol we still have one rat, Amber (hence why hubby didn't want that name for her). Misty had to be put down at the vets in France on our way back at the beginning of September. And no, the little 'brown monster' isn't going to get near Amber! Now, we've finally decided on a name ... I liked Teasle, Hubbie didn't, he liked Pip, I didn't ... we've compromised on Lily ... as in Lily Savage ... I think this photo tell you why!
