SAS
I`ve been meaning to post this ever since me and the missus got back from the show at Pickering. I overheard a chap talking to a salesman about a new motorhome on a Fiat. I can`t remember the particular make but he asked about whether the vehicle was one of those that was possibly susceptible to clutch judder. "Oh no" said the salesman "That fault was on the previous models".... 8-)
duffers
sounds like a neat bit of salesmanship don't you think ?? there was a letter in C&CC about the judder problem, perhaps they may get involved in the battle . ray
malc d
Some salesmen just never change do they. I am reminded of something I heard at an Earls Court motor show ( about a hundred years ago) . A little old lady asked the salesman " Why is there no starting handle on this new model ?" "It doesn't need one madam" "What happens if the battery goes flat then ?" she asked. " The battery doesn't go flat on this car madam " ( I was pleased to hear the lady mutter: 'Don't be absurd' as she left). ;-) ;-)
Rayjsj
And another; Where is the spare wheel on this M/H ?? i can't see it underneath ? Salesman; this van doesn't need one sir, Me; Oh, doesn't it get blowouts then ? Salesman; You get this Aerosol instead, Me; I said 'Blowouts' not slow punctures. Salesman; then you need to call the AA/RAC sir, Me; without a spare wheel they won't even attend.NOW what......? Salesman; I 'll just go and speak to my manager. I move on to a M/H that DOES have a spare wheel. :D :D
GJH
Thank you all for this thread. I'm definitely not going to have any risk of boredom at the NEC next week now I know just what to ask any sales people who I don't like the look of >:-) Graham
