jo scott
Our Carioca 644 has a Truma gas-fired water heater, which is very efficient in terms of heating and lashings of hot water. However, it seems to be excessively noisy. Not only when running the water through the taps, but the noise increases and runs on after the taps are closed. Obviously this makes us hesitant to use the taps after 9pm for fear of causing disturbance. We've checked to see if there is anything obvious - a kink in the pipe or a pipe rubbing against the bed slats - but see nothing obvious. Any ideas? jo
Geoff Cole
Hi Jo, My water system made a right din on my swift it was due to the water pump being placed to high and the bed slats resting on the top, also check that your pipes are clipped all the way along the pipe runs, the plastic pipes will sag when hot and this can cause them to be noisey I put extra clips in mine after I had moved the pump and was checking the system over. regards Geoff
Driventemple
I had problems with the pump 'running on' after turning the taps off, creating a 'thump, thump' noise. Cured it by fitting a Fiamma A20 Expansion Tank :-D
jo scott
We're going to empty the space under the bed and send me in with a torch so I can see what's happening with the bed in place. . . then we'll consider moving things around. Thanks, jo www.weareontheroadagain.co.uk
