john snowball
Having purchased an autosleeper symbol complete with an avtec tv i find that the avtec does not have a scart connection and my satellite will not operate with a coax lead . Any suggestions on how to connect the 2 systems? :-(
colin
Is that a Avtex? if so which model? some one may be able to give you a specific answer. I have two small 12v TVs that have a small socket similier to earphone socket that are labeled monitor, to conect you require the correct scart/plug a/v lead. Philman
Most digiboxes have 1 or 2 RF Output sockets which take an ordinary coax lead to the TV. You then have to tune the TV to the digibox channel and you will get the satellite programmes. ( Assuming of course that the dish is pointing at the desired satellite.) :-D Phil. mirage
Maplins Electronics have numerous adaptors for scart leads on their website, must be something suitable. Co-incidentally have you tried your external aerial connection and if so does it work, how is the external connection to the television itself set up in your van? Keithl
It sounds like you need an RF modulator. This plugs into the scart of your freeview or sat box and gives a standard UHF TV output signal to go into your TV's aerial socket. I was looking for one for a CCTV system a while ago. Try item number 280287649114 on eBay. (Copy & paste the number into the search). Keith.

donna miller
All you need is a standard scart to phono lead, this will have white, red, and yellow phono plugs on one end and a scart on the other. The tv will have corresponding phono sockets.
