Could Vindiboy give us details of the above club, re motorvanning at Holborne, New Milton, during the winter months.Ta.

The Skylarks are or were a breakaway group of the Motorcaravan Club who wanted to carry on camping through the winter months ,using Bashley Park at New Milton Hants. A Hobourne site. originally it was Motorhomes only but as we had to field 30 vans a weekend , we found that as some members went off to Spain etc. for some of the winter it was not always possible to get 30 vans to attend, it was then deceided

that to make up the number, caravans would be allowed to attend, [ friends of friends ] initially. The meets are now open to all but NO tents or Trailer tents as its a council rule. New Forest Council. You ring the organiser before the meet to say you want to attend , turn up. book in . and then you do your own thing, meets usually close Sunday about 4 pm and you can attend for 1 or 2 nights at £ 12- 30 p a night .Bashley Park has a Swimming pool ,bar , bowling alley, Golf course ,adventure playground, - takeaway Restaurant, big telly , games room etc.etc.No membership is required of the Skylarks ,your name and address is kept by the organiser and you get a programme sent to you each year at no cost. I will give you a few dates of coming meets;November 28--30 th 08 .December 12--14 th 08 . January 9-11 th 09 . 23--25 th 09. 30-- 1st feb 09. 27-- 1 st March 09. and 13-- 15 th March 09. I will not give the organisers phone no .on here but will give it to you if you E Mail.It isa short walk into New Milton from Bashley Park where you can get buses to Lymington , Bournemouth or Poole if you wish. *-) Camping costs are per unit not per head. *-)
