You may have to get them put onto a "Gold Card" bit like a credit card, but with the cheques in the chip. When you then visit a site you hand over the card and one night is taken off electronically. It explains the reimbursement/exchange procedure for cheques. It also states that they are non transferable - sorry. Don't forget that they are all numbered.
