I expect that we are leaving it very late, however, can anyone suggest any camp sites we might try for 30th and 31st December. Any distance within 150 miles of Durham. Many thanks.

If you're in the Caravan Club try some of the CLs, a lot now have electric hook up and hardstandings, and every shower etc facilities. As the Blackpool main site has had to be closed we're going to The Poplars, Poulton-Le Fylde on 29 Dec to 1 Jan (we booked on Tuesday night this week), it is just a few miles inland from Blackpool and around 110 miles from Durham. It's got H&C, showers, hardstanding etc and costs £7.50 a night including electric. So, if you can't get into the big sites do give the smaller ones a try. Good luck and have a great time.
