Poppy Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 For me it was a visit to Bridgnorth in Shropshire staying at Stanmore Hall.We got the bus to Bridgnorth, a llovely little town on 2 levels. Try the pork scratchings! It was in Feb but the weather was spring like and we visited a church where my mother went as a teenager, mainly, it must be said, because she fancied one of the choirboys there.Times don't change do they? Sadly he was killed in the second world war.The second one was a visit to Rudesheim in Germany. We stayed at camping am rhein,a lovely site right beside the Rhein and an easy walk into the tourist town. Weather was lovely, sunny, not too hot or cold. We got the chair lift up to the top and enjoyed lovely views and walks along the hill behind the town. There is a good hotel there with a smashing restaurant, well worth treating yourselves. We did. A perfect day.
