gadjo
Apparently these products go between any seat cushions or matresses and the base to stop condensation and mould by allowing a free flow of air??? Has anyone used any of these or got any suggestions for alternatives???? I have made enquires and was quoted about £80 for 2m x 2m piece from a local boat/ships chandler, which would just do the fixed bed. PJay
Try asking any sailors, as I know it is used in boats. We never tried it in our sailing days though, so can't really help.
libby
I see no reason to add more clutter to the M/H
colin
Never used it, but principle seems ok if there is enough of an airspace. We use matress toppers, so if we suffered from condensation(which we don't) I would first try a vapour barrier(sheet of plastic) between main matress and topper. Derek Uzzell
Gadjo, Don't forget that the forum has a Search facility. Searching on "condensation" and "All posts" brings up plenty of stuff - this is a selection that may help. http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12713&posts=3 http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12637&posts=18 http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10050&posts=13 http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=5953&posts=
gadjo
Thanks for the links Derek the search never works for me. There are few good 'cheaper' suggestions there. The bed is above the garage and matresses are sat on thick ply covered in grey matting with about 1cm lats on top so I mite be looking at a problem that mite not be one, if you know what I mean :-S cheers
