sparts Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Is there any one in herts that has a car on Aframe, only had one fitted to my smart other week just tried towing it today, made sure not in gear handbrake off, brake cable not too tight, but when i start to tow, the car starts to judder side to side as tho it has stearing lock on need some friendly advice for this novice tower :$ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If not the front wheels will be going in all directions. I have read some where Smarts should never be towed in this way. I would really check this one out. colinfrier Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 When I had an A Frame it was steering lock off if the car had one a lot of my a framing was with pre war cars so no lock, If you lock the steering then you are trying to move 4 in line wheels round bends and corners not pratical.
