Tony,

I think you are more likely to get specific Gulfstream-related feedback from an RV-specialised website. For instance:

http://www.rvoa.co.uk/RVForum.html

http://www.rvoc.co.uk/

There's also an RV forum-section on the MHF website that might be worth trying.

Otherwise, it's mainly going to be a matter of very carefully inspecting the condition of the vehicle (including the tyres), ensuring that lights and speedometer are UK-compliant, making sure that all the 'domestic' appliances work OK, and checking what the situation is regarding servicing and obtaining spare parts (base-vehicle and conversion).

Obviously you will already have taken into account fuel and maintenance costs, parking/camping size requirements and (potential) difficulties come re-sale time in a marketplace where increasingly fewer drivers will have licences for over 3500kg vehicles.

Hi I had a 1998 Tiffin Allegro that was fitted with the GMC 6.5 turbo diesel engine and it gave me good service, I did however meet some other RVr's who warned me of fuel pump failure, which once rectified GMC would pay for the repair. Not sure but think this may be something to do with the problem referred to.:

Ask if this mod has been carried out.

The only other problem I had was the starter sometimes it just would not turn just click but always started eventually, however after a month touring Spain the hot weather must have agreed with it as from that day on it always turned over first time.

Regards Pat
