doonhamer
I have a Maxview B2590 Omnisat 66 manual crank up satellite dish fitted to the van that is the devil to turn from inside when it hasn't been used for some time. If anyone else has had this problem and managed to resolve it can they let me know how. I've asked Maxview but haven't received a reply to my email! Bazza454
Not sure if it's the same with the Maxview but when the guy fitted my Oyster a couple of years ago he said make sure to apply some silicone spray around the moving parts after cleaning, and at least once a month. Randonneur
We have had the same problem recently and used Silicone spray on the arm joint. When dropping the dish make sure you don't take it down right to the bottom for a couple of times so that the silicone can work its way in. We found that ours (Maxview Semitronic) was sticking on the black foam pad on the dish as well.
nomad
Hi Doonhamer, I had this with my maxview last winter. I had extreme difficulty turning the dish from inside of our van. It was at its worst when it was really frosty. I seem to have cured it now. What I did was squirt WD40 into the base as I swivelled it around. I hope that this helps you Colin
