Bill Ord
Fitted a microwave in an Autotrail Cheyenne 635 and it worked fine on the occasions we were on hook-up. There were no heat build up problems. Bill Ord

vindiboy
I fitted ours in the TV cupboard of my Hymer, its a big one [ the micro wave that is ] and had no problems, EXCEPT that the cupboard is a bit high and I worry when my wife removes hot dishes from it as it is at shoulder height to her. :-( :-( :-(
hymer1942
Thanks for that everyone, now all I have to find is a microwave that does not exceed 44cm in length, and 30cm in depth, height not a problem, if anyone has one that fits the bill that would be a great help. PJay
Have you looked in Tesco's / They often have small ones, also probably Asda or any local large supermarket.
Philman
I have just bought one of Sainsbury's own brand it is 700W and has a 1000W Grill. it measures 43 x 32 max. It's input current is a bit high at 1150W which is 5 amps, so you'd have to be careful on some continental sites where campsite supplies are often 6 amps max. It cost £39.77. Good vfm I think. Some Italian sites are still only 3 or 4 amps supply so I doubt if any microwave would work there. Phil.

Salopianlad
Just fitted one in my Dethleff. Have a look at the Argos site and the microwave called Cookware Model MM717CKA. This a 700 watt unit which should operate on most site hookups.
Philman
As I mentioned earlier Microwaves need a 6 or more amp supply to work. Phil.
colin
Note that we have a Sharp nuke/grill in kitchin manual states free space above to be minimum of 21cm, as ours is high level fitting I was unaware that gf had placed a small cutting board on it, we now have a nuke with a scorched top.
