Brian Kirby Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Your route will be partially outside the EEC. You will need cross at least Albania and Montenegro, and possibly Bosnia. Croatia is also non-EC. Do check very carefully that you can get both vehicle and health insurance for these countries. Croatia seems generally accepted by most insurers, although some will insist on charging for a Green Card even for that. Bosnia presents more of a problem, and some companies won't insure it at all, or will restrict cover. For Albania and Montenegro, you are likely to find you cannot get comprehensive cover, and may be reduced to third party only, possibly obtainable only at the border, and not in English!
