bjphillips
We have been to Spain many times but havent noticed if its possible to take a small dog into an eating place or not, this'll be the first time we've taken ours.I always ask first in this country ,some do & some dont.I dont bother to ask in restuarants, just cafe's & pubs here.Anybody know the situation there please ? BGD
Some do, some don't. I think I'm right in saying that legally it ain't officially allowed in restaurants, but as with most laws in Spain, observance by most Spanish people is a "relaxed" affair. Depends on the place, and the town/region too.....at a small village inland it ain't likely to ever be a problem, but a front-line posh restaurant on a Costa probably won't allow it. Asking in Spanish might help to break the ice with the staff. A simple way of asking: "Puedo entrar con mi perro?" (Can I come in with my dog?)
