cask
Hi. The waste tank on my swift bolero is showing full when it is empty. Putting water into the tank makes it show progressively empty. Does anyone have a suggestion as to the cause? Andrew

chatterdog
first thought crossed wires, but as long as you know what its doing you dont have a problem, I would probably mention it to the service person at next service.
Big Momma
What does it say in the user manual ? It may be a wiring problem or just reverse logic e.g. Fresh Water displays empty when no water in tank and obviously full when 'full' of water. The waste tank may display 100% when empty and then 0% when full (no space left) ? Is it a gauge or does it show percentage in LED display ? My Swift shows percentage 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% when full but this is the same for the Fresh and Waste water tanks.
cask
The tank read out was working normally; full tank, full reading on the display. The fresh water tank is empty and the display agrees. Th waste tank has been empty for a couple of months and the display has just changed. Nothing has been put into or removed from them. Rapido-lass
In our previous motorhome, we had a similar the tank showing empty when in fact full. It was the wiring, wired in the wrong way - quickly changed and no prolems after that.
urbanracer
Might be a bad earth connection, try and trace it back to the earth point clean and make sure itys making contact. As a test run a new earth to back of water meter.

cask
Thanks Champstar, I removed the main drain cap on the tank, had a good clean of the sensor probes with an old towel and the tank now reads empty. Many thanks for your help, Andrew
