OK, OK....I wrote the title of my thread, but sent it by mistake before I had finished....doh. I then re-sent it as "OK I'll try again".....never once thinking that you lot wouldn't realise what had happened. So I'm going to my room now for a sulk because you're all laughing at me.

I'm sure every joker who has posted to this thread knew full well what you had done as it's not an uncommon occurrence, particularly with newcomers to this forum.

If you accidentally do it again, or wish to alter something in a posting, you have a 30 minute 'editing' period starting from when you submit your posting.

Having realised you had submitted this posting with no message-text, you would have had a half-hour's period of grace during which you could have re-entered your own empty posting, clicked on the Edit button, added the message-text and then re-submitted the posting. This would have avoided the need to post your "OK I'll try again..." follow-up.

After 30 minutes following submission a posting can no longer be edited except by the forum Moderator. Postings that have been edited have a 'footnote' indicating this as shown on the bottom of this one.

Cruiser, (Tony), I'm sure, well hope, that you took our light hearted comments for just that, i.e. a bit of gentle fun being meted out.

As Derek says, you're not the 1st to do it, and you certainly won't be the last.

Good luck with your fuel filter carry on and thanks for providing us with a laugh, albeit at your expense....

Martyn :D

Was that a comment then Martyn? :-S B-)

No Joy, that was questionably an observation - I think - but no doubt Martin will want to question us about warnings and comments!

Fair comment Joy - I consider myself duly warned - but the real question is can we get this thread onto a second page before we all get totally bored with it.

We may well need the intervention of a few pedants - no, not peasants, pedants - and they all know who they are without me commenting further - to get involved and as that is questionable let that be a warning to us all!

I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves. If I were Cruiser I'd be listing your names in my Little Black Book of B*ggers and then bide my time until I could give you a taste of your own medicine. Tragic that the forum has a Chatterbox section specifically intended for non-motorhome-related topics and you waste time posting drivel to this one. Makes me wonder sometimes why I bother to participate - I fact I might well transfer my expertise to the MHF forum where everybody is clued-up, pleasant and shows decorum.

Such a shame you lost the humorous effect by failing to include a smiley or an exclamation mark Derek - or have you really got the hump?

So how much of your valuable time did you lose by reading this drivel?

One minute? Two minutes? Three minutes? Gee whiz - that long eh?

Is your time so valuable or your life so intense that you can't just either smile if it tickles you or just ignore it if it bores or offends you?

Regarding decorum? I always thought that that decorum involved being courteous to other people regardless of whether you agree or disagree with them?

If I could just get a word in....as the originator of the now famous 'a question, a comment and a warning' phrase, you'll all be pleased to know that it has been picked up by ITV and they plan to make a reality tv show around it. Also Oprah Winfrey has been in touch regarding me making an appearance on her show. Rumour also has it that I have been earmarked for this year's Royal Variety and possibly an M.B.E. So it looks like I'll have the last laugh. When I bank my first royaty cheques none of you will get a look in!

Well....maybe a few bob for Derek who stood by me in the early days of this thread. Oh..P.S. :-D

I take it you missed derek's dabble 'on the dark side'? He put his best frock and high heels on but it wasn't aprieciated

That was a very questionable comment Colin and liable to get a severe warning about decorum from Himself!

And nothing wrong with a bit of humour either, but lets not forget what a good little section 'hints and tips' is for those who have a question or query answered without the usual 'off thread' remarks. Rare to see a problem that cannot be explained or resolved here in a manner that is easily understood, so lets all appreciate what Derek (and others) are doing for us and long may it continue.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cross-dressing - as long as it's in the best possible taste of course.

Delighted that you are still with us Derek as I'm sure I speak for us all when I say that we would hate to lose you to the 'other' or even dare I say it, the 'dark' side!
