fugglestick
Hello all, good to see this site and forum. I wondered if anyone has had a similar problem to the one I have with my Hobby 750 and if they have a solution please. The incoming mains charging/split charging system is faulty by virtue that it is intermittent. Some days it will charge ok, others it wont. Now the charging relay on the mother board under the seat is chattering when on mains. I suppose I will need to replace the mother board. Does any one know where once can be obtained or a motor home autoelectrian near Stamford Lincs??? Thank you *-)
docted
Can you not change the relay on the board rather than buy a new board?
Rowan Lee
We go to RVTex at Newstead, just north of Nottingham - www.rvtex.co.uk 01623 722477. They are two really nice guys, Ian and Pete, who do all sorts of work on all sorts of motorhomes and are Van Bitz agents. We have taken our van there several times and they have always sorted us out. Only last week, Ian fitted a new charger for us. Takes us between an hour and a half and two hours to get there but is well worth the trip. Puzzled
This is a simple problem to fix. All you need to do is re solder the PCB board where the relays are fitted. When you take out the PCB on the charger you will see where the arcing is on the underside of the board.
