wild rover
Hello again, I have another question! What kind of cleaner can you use for the loo bowl? Would bleach interact with the blue fluid? Thanks again in advance. I'm really glad I found this forum, everyone is so helpful and kind. Pam
little-jack
You shouldnt use bleach for a number of resons, it can neutralise the effect of the blue cleaner, and isnt good for the plastic your loo is made of. I'm sure there are a number of solutions. We use Thetford pink flush, which is made to be used in the water header tank for the loo usually found in caravans, since we dont have a header tank in our m/h- the loo is fed from the main water storage, we keep some ready diluted in a spray bottle, and use as required. A similar method could be used with Fenwics all in one toilet product. little jack
GJH
Last year we gave up using the Thetford products and started using Elsan Organic, which can be used in both cassette and flush tank. Purely personal preference. After each trip we give the washroom, including the toilet seat/bowl, a good clean with throwaway toilet wipes. The cassette gets a good clean out with fresh water. tonyishuk
We use a spray containing the Thetford pink header tank liguid before and after "actions" (Because we do not have a header tank type loo, and take water straight from the main tank.) Then use Thetford Loo Cleaner, about £3.50 last time we brought some, a while ago. (Either lasts a long time or we dont need to clean the loo that often) Rgds
Rapido-lass
As we have a SOG fitted we use no chemicals in the cassette, but we do use Fenwicks Toilet spray which sprayed on prior to toilet use stops anything clinging to the bowl, and flushed with plain water straight from the tank. We also use anti-bacterial wipes to wipe around the seat etc whilst away for freshness. It is advisable not to use bleach due to the plastic bowl of the toilet in case of any damage it may cause. Big Momma
Slightly off topic, but only slightly as it is related to cleaning fluids. I noticed an advert in this months CC Magazine for Grey Tank fluid, it claims to stop the pongs from waste tanks and demould inside. Anyone used this or is it brand new (?)
