shirles
Just getting the van ready for weekend and am having trouble shutting the fridge door. It was left open for air to circulate and am wondering if the heat (30c) has warped it.
Corky 8
Try wiping around the door seal with a clean damp cloth a few times , it may just be a dry seal.
Philjp
Have you a catch on the door to lock fridge door whilst travelling?. It could be in the wrong position, ie in locked position whilst door is open not allowing door to close
Derek Uzzell
The lower door on my Dometic 7-Series fridge-freezer seems to have decided to lift slightly having been left in the 'air circulation' position during the last week, and I now need to press down on the door's top to get the catch to slide into the locked position. These catches are badly designed to begin with and I'm guessing the door will recover its normal shape when the weather cools.
Rapido-lass
I too have a Dometic fridge/freezer and have had the doors open in the last week. I closed them this morning with no problem. Sorry this isn't going to help you though.
shirles
Left the fridge on mains overnight and it now closes ok, so i presume it was the heat. Thanks for all your suggestions and i can't wait to get off to wales tonight, although weather seems to be on the change.
