Brock
One of my plastic windows has cracked on the inside at the window lock. It's the second German van I've had where this has happened. Any suggestions why? Any solutions (one crack is half an inch, the other a quarter of an inch)? The window/lock has not been forced.Last time the dealer replaced the window when I traded in the van. Guest peter
If it's from a screw hole, open up the hole to relieve the stress.
vindiboy
This happened on my Hymer and I suspect frost was the cause of it. I believe condensation was present between the two plys of the window and froze during a very cold period we were having at the time, I first suspected that a forced entry had been attempted but on close inspection it was obvious that no tool marks were present so it had to be the work of Jack Frost. £350 to replace the window from Hymer OUCH.
