Tomo3090
Hi Deryck, we looked closely at the Delaware before choosing our Cheyenne 660 and we made a list of the differences. The advantages are based on what we wanted from the vehicle, so delete are required, they are also from last year so the latest model might have been changed. The lounge bench seating in the Delaware was shorter on the nearside so lounging around for one of us would be less comfy. The storage under the island bed seemed smaller and there was no external access. There didn't seem to be anywhere to be able to watch the telly lay in bed, whereas the Cheyenne has a specific telly point for that. There have been a few times when I wanted the footie on the flip down monitor, Ann can watch a DVD on the AVTEC one, or the other way round as required! The wardrobe space was smaller. Those little corner storge bins didn't seem to be useful for anything other than a place to put dirty laundry, so we thought them a waste of space! The kitchen area was not to our liking. When the sink area was slid out it made getting past from one end of the van to the other awkward. The slide out bit also seemed to be less sturdy in build quality and might be prone to failure after continuous use. (We are mostly long term touring with a view to possible full timing, so the build quality is important in "moving parts"). Finally, but probably most important, The delaware was 10 grand dearer! The things we did like on the Delaware were. The skirt storage draws. Larger water tanks. We did pay extra to have the same sized tanks on our Cheyenne though. The island bed, from an ease of making it and we thought it would make it easier to get out of it in the night, but the latter turned out to be not so much of a problem! The ALKO chassis on the Delaware wasn't really a factor for us because we've never had one so aren't aware of the benefits, or if there are any. The larger gas locker on the Delaware wasn't a factor either because we have had a 60 L gas tank fitted underneath, so the locker is only used for storage. All in all we feel we made the right choice for us and have never had a seconds doubt that we've got the best van of the two!

Tomo3090
I've got a bet with a neighbour who is a Man U supporter, he says he will play regularly but not all the games. I say he will play 5 pre season games, 5 premiership games, get injured then play no further part in the season until Christmas at the earliest! :-D Serves him right for leaving Liverpool!
